Ethernet module with 8 analog voltage inputs and 8 analog voltage outputs
The powerful and versatile Ethernet measurement technology module with Ethernet is especially designed for control systems that require multiple analog voltage inputs, analog voltage outputs and a digital input. One digital optocoupler output are available as control outputs.
Analog voltage inputs
The EXDUL-584E has an analog-digital converter with eight ground-related or four differential 16-bit A/D input channels with bipolar (+/-0.63 V, +/-1.27 V, +/-2.55 V, +/-5.1 V, +/-10.2 V) input voltage ranges. The conversion is triggered including the associated configuration of the A/D components (range/channel selection) via software command. The analog inputs, which have an input resistance of 500 MOhm, are protected up to overvoltages of 50 V. The integrated FIFO with 10,000 measured values enables sampling rates of up to 100,000 measured values per second.
Analog voltage outputs
The EXDUL-584E has an digital-analog converter with eight 16-bit D/A output channels with bipolar (+/-2.55 V, +/-5.1 V, +/-10.2 V) output voltage ranges. The maximum output current is 5 mA. The associated configuration of the D/A components (range selection) via software command.
Digital inputs and outputs via optocouplers
The Ethernet measurement technology module EXDUL-584E also has one digital optocoupler input and one digital output with galvanic isolation. The bipolar optocoupler input are protected with an additional overvoltage protection diode. The optocoupler output, which are protected with a reverse polarity protection diode, can switch a maximum current of 150 mA.
Webpage
The module can be configured in a user-friendly manner via the integrated web page. A simple function test is also possible.
Communication via TCP/IP connection
Communication between the PC and the module takes place by sending and receiving byte arrays via a stable TCP/IP connection, which is secured by a handshake protocol.
Power supply
External power source
The module is supplied with the necessary operating voltage between 10 and 30 volts via an external voltage source via terminals 23 and 24.
LCD-display
The programmable LCD display enables the display of digital I/O status information or programmable user-specific data. Two lines with 16 characters each are available.
Connection and assembly
The connections for the power supply, like the connections for the input and output optocouplers, are connected to a 24-pin screw terminal block. The compact housing allows use as a mobile module on a notebook and as a control module in control and mechanical engineering with simple wall mounting or uncomplicated mounting on DIN EN mounting rails.
Software, drivers, programming languages
No driver is required for the EXDUL-584E Ethernet module. A network connection from a PC (network card with driver) or mobile device is required. For direct access to the module, the TCP/IP libraries available in many high-level languages such as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic or Java are required.
