The PCI card for control technology or regulation technology OPTOPRE-PCI8EXTENDED offers eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs with electrical isolation, individually for each channel. The electrical isolation of the inputs is provided by eight high-quality optocouplers with Schmitt trigger function, and for the outputs by eight relays. The inputs are also protected against harmful voltage peaks by protective diodes. Two different input voltage ranges can be set using easily exchangeable, pluggable resistor arrays. The relays of the outputs can handle a switching current of max. 2 A. Interrupts can be triggered by eight of the 16 optocoupler inputs or, depending on the time, by a timer / counter component (8254, 82C54, 7054) combined with a quartz oscillator.For other control tasks there are 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, which are TTL compatible, on the card. A DC / DC converter is available for the electrically isolated power supply of the input optocoupler. The connections of the optocouplers and relays are on a 37-pin D-Sub socket. The TTL inputs and TTL outputs can be tapped from a 68-pin SCSI-II socket.
