The PCI bus card for data acquisition OPTOIN-PCI64EXTENDED offers 64 digital inputs with electrical isolation. The potential separation is guaranteed for each channel individually by high-quality optocouplers with an integrated Schmitt trigger function, which are additionally protected against harmful voltage peaks and pulses by protective diodes. Two different input voltage ranges can be selected using easily exchangeable, plug-in resistor arrays. Interrupt triggers can be implemented through 16 of the optocoupler inputs or time-dependently through a timer / counter component (8054, 82C54, 71054) combined with a crystal oscillator. For other control tasks there are 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, which are TTL-compatible, on the card.The optocoupler inputs are connected to the 68-pin SCSI-II socket on the slot bracket of the board and to a 68-pin SCSI-II socket on the board. The TTL inputs and TTL outputs are fed to another SCSI-II socket on the board. The connectors placed on the circuit board can each be routed to a SCSI-II socket with a slot bracket using a connector routing set available as an option.
