The multi-function module for analog and digital signals EXDUL-371E has eight grounded or four differential 12 bit A / D input channels with adjustable unipolar (0-5 V, 0-10 V) and bipolar (+/- 2.5 V, +/- 5 V, +/- 10 V) input voltage ranges. The conversion initiation including the associated configuration of the A / D components (area / channel selection) takes place via software command. The output voltage ranges of the two 12-bit D / A outputs can also be selected by software between unipolar (0-5 V, 0-10 V) or bipolar (+/- 5 V, +/- 10 V). In addition, the module has three digital inputs and two digital outputs with electrical isolation using high-quality optocouplers and additional protective diodes,whereby one of the digital inputs can be used as a 16 bit counter. All input optocouplers are equipped with an integrated Schmitt trigger function. Special high-performance output optocouplers can handle a switching current of up to 150 mA.
