The PCI bus card for control technology OPTORE-PCI16EXTENDED offers 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs with electrical isolation, individually for each channel. The electrical isolation of the inputs is provided by 16 high quality optocouplers with Schmitt trigger function, and for the outputs by 16 reed relays. The inputs are also protected against harmful voltage peaks by protective diodes. Two different input voltage ranges can be set using exchangeable, pluggable resistor arrays. The reed relays of the outputs can handle a switching current of maximum 500 mA. Interrupts can be triggered by eight of the 16 optocoupler inputs or, depending on the time, by a timer / counter module combined with a crystal oscillator.For other control tasks, there are 24 digital inputs / outputs that are TTL compatible on the card. The hardware implementation of the TTL inputs / outputs takes place via the common I / O module 8255 (82C55, 71055). The signals from the reed relays are available at a 37-pin D-Sub socket. The connections of the input optocoupler as well as the TTL inputs / outputs can be tapped at two post plugs. The pin assignments and the input voltage ranges of the optocouplers and relays are compatible with the ISA bus card OPTORE-16EXTENDED and the PCI Express bus card OPTORE-PCIe16ULTRA.The signals from the reed relays are available at a 37-pin D-Sub socket.
