The multifunctional digital interface card for industrial applications OPTOIO-PCI16EXTENDED offers 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs with galvanic isolation for each individual channel via high-quality optocouplers, which are additionally protected against overvoltage by protective diodes. All input optocouplers are equipped with an integrated Schmitt trigger function. Special, high-performance output optocouplers can handle a maximum switching current of 150 mA. Two different input voltage ranges can be set using easily exchangeable, pluggable resistor arrays. Interrupt triggers can be implemented through eight of the 16 optocoupler inputs or time-dependently through a timer / counter component (8253, 82C53, 71053) combined with a quartz oscillator.For other control tasks, there are 24 digital inputs / outputs that are TTL compatible on the card. The hardware implementation of the TTL inputs / outputs takes place via the I / O module 8255 (82C55, 71055). The signals from the output optocoupler are available at a 37-pin D-Sub socket.
