The OPTOPRE-PCIe8ULTRA offers eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs with galvanic isolation for each individual channel. The inputs are electrically isolated by eight high-quality optocouplers and eight relays for the outputs. The inputs are also protected against harmful voltage peaks by protective diodes. Two different input voltage ranges can be set using jumpers. The relays of the outputs can handle a switching current of max. 2 A. The connections of the optocouplers and the signals of the relays are on the 37-pin D-Sub socket on the slot bracket of the board. Furthermore, the card has a board identification jumper block in order to be able to differentiate between several identical cards in the PC. The pin assignment is identical to the PCI card OPTOPRE-PCI8STANDARD, making it easy to switch to PCIe.
