PCI Express - TTL inputs and outputs for the PCIe-Bus von Messcomp®
What isTTL?
The term TTL is the abbreviation for transistor-transistor logic. It is a circuit technology for logic circuits in which bipolar NPN transistors are used as active components. The best-known representatives of this IC series are the LS series with, for example, SN74LS00 etc. The logic family is out of date and has practically no meaning today. Today the term TTL inputs / outputs is used for pure logic inputs / outputs, which normally have no potential separation and at their inputs and outputs certain voltage levels or logic levels are defined for a signal.
PCI Express PC cards with TTL inputs / outputs
The wasco® PCI Express cards from Messcomp® with TTL inputs / outputs are ideal for use in the laboratory. The TTL inputs are provided with counters, digital filters and other units depending on the type of PC card, the outputs can be used for pulse width modulation (PWM). In addition, the TTL inputs / outputs of the latest PCIe cards can be adjusted to different level ranges (5V and 3.3V range) using jumpers. With expansion modules (KM series) these inputs / outputs can be equipped with galvanic isolation. Potential-free switching of signals and loads is also possible via KM modules with relays. The TTL PC cards can be integrated into the PC via the PCIe slots and offer a large number of channels in a small space.Because of the very high number of channels of up to 196 channels, they are often used in laboratories for data acquisition.
